The Ripple - Spring 2017

This way in (Spring 2017)

Welcome to the Spring 2017 Ripple.

This issue launches a number of new regular features for the Ripple:

  • Flora & Fauna, featuring stories of local plant and animal life that we encounter in our travels.
  • Aperture, featuring member photos along the trail; meant to inspire your next trip experience.

Our next issue will begin a third new regular feature: Craft, featuring information on the craft of paddling - whether on the water, in camp or in preparation.

We’d love to hear what you think of this issue. Send us your feedback at communication@paddle.mb.ca or through any of our social media platforms.

Ripple Submissions

The Ripple relies on Paddle Manitoba members for its content. Whether it’s a full-length feature article on your latest paddling adventure or a couple of paragraphs with a gear review or recipe, we want to hear what you have to say.

If you are willing to write but don't have a story idea of your own, please contact us. We can help :-)

Please send submissions to communication@paddle.mb.ca. Items may be sent anytime, not just when there is a specific call for them.

You may submit articles in Word or rich-text format or simply as the text of an email. There are no restrictions on the length of your submissions, although it is our experience that shorter articles are more likely to be read in their entirety and shared with others.

Photos are encouraged. Please submit photos in their original format as image files, and it is helpful if you also insert them into your text where you would like them placed, with captions below. Cover or title images should be a minimum of 2560 pixels wide (approximately 2MB) {Select Large images in your email client, if on Mac}.
