The Ripple - Fall 2016

This way in (Fall 2016)

Welcome to the new look of the Ripple.

This issue marks our evolution to a fully online newsletter, optimized for your reading pleasure on any device - desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. We think the changes will make the Ripple easier to enjoy, and infinitely portable.

More importantly, the new design makes each article individually shareable. Share buttons appear at the end of each article. When your read an article that you particularly enjoy, we encourage you to share it via Facebook, Twitter or Google+. We hope that when readers share Ripple articles, with paddlers and non-paddlers alike, we will reach a broader audience, build community, increase membership, and ultimately inspire more paddlers to get on the water.

We’d love to hear what you think of the new look. Send us your feedback at communication@paddle.mb.ca or through any of our social media platforms.

Ripple Submissions

The Ripple relies on Paddle Manitoba members for its content. Whether it’s a full-length feature article on your latest paddling adventure, or a couple of paragraphs with a gear review or recipe, we want to hear what you have to say.

Please send submissions to communication@paddle.mb.ca. Items may be sent any time, not just when there is a specific call for them.

Items may be submitted in word or rich-text format, or simply entered as the text of the email. There are no restrictions on the length of your submissions, although it is our experience that shorter articles are more likely to be read in their entirety and shared with others.

Photos are encouraged. Photos should be submitted in their original format as image files, and it is helpful if you also insert them into your text where you would like them placed, with captions below. Cover or title images should be a minimum of 2560 pixels wide (approximately 2MB) {Select Large images in your email client, if on Mac}.
